Happy Friday everyone! Hope you’re enjoying the cooler weather and looking forward to a ski/snowboarding trip this winter season. Looking for a great way to enhance your experience? Check out Oakley’s hi-tech eye wear, the Airwave goggle.

The Oakley Airwave goggle promises a better “boarding/ski” adventure. We think it’s worth mentioning, because sometimes the latest technology can be “icing on the the cake” for your luxury-style travel.

Highlights of Oakley’s Airwave Goggle include a heads-up display by Recon instruments. The display mimics viewing a 14″ television at a distance at 5″. And, while the goggle comes with a remote control wristband, the Airwave goggle integrates with your iPhone 5. How cool is that?

Get out to the App store now to download Oakley’s Airwave app so you can add the ability to see music playlist, read text messages, track your location, and see caller ID from your phone on the heads-up display.

Additional features of the Oakley’s Airwave Goggle include Bluetooth and GPS technology as well as a gyroscope and accelerometer. The goggle comes with a remote wristband you can use to control display settings.

Oakley has even loaded up maps for popular ski resorts so you can find your way out of a bad line or hook up with friends on the mountain. Track the day’s performance data too including elevation gain/loss and even hang-time. Wow!

The Airwave goggles are optimized to work with your IPhone 5 and IOS 6 and can even be used with 3rd generation IPads and newer.

Access to the latest goggle technology comes in at just under $600. The only question is whether you’ll pamper yourself with new goggles, or perhaps a new board or skis.

Regardless, this kind of technology fits nicely in to our luxury-style travel, because it’s often the little thing (or two) that unexpectedly makes a good trip great.
